Tinnitus is a perception of auditory hallucination without environmental source of voice. Tinnitus which is rised from sensoryneurol system is called subjective tinnitus. Various therapies had been tried in tinnitus sucnh as TENS (transcutanous electric nerve stimulation). In our study, we applied TENS to the 30 ears of 22 patients with subjective tinnitus for 10 days. In 14 patients (46.6 %) tinnitus completely disappeared, in 6 patients (20 %) tinnitus partially improved. The response to TENS was better in patients with short duration tinnitus (P<0.01). As being simple, economical and safe, TENS is a reliable technique in management of subjective tinnitus.
