The aim of science is to investigatehe relationship between cause and result and to make generalitizations. The expected cause and result relationship must be demonstrable in all related events. It is hard to investigate the whole universe with countless events. Instead we make use of an example group. If this example group can be shown to represent universe the hypothesis witch is tested on the example group, can be accepted to be tried on all related data in universe (generalization). To set up a cause-rresult relationship, the cahnges which are caused by the presence and absence of the cause on the "result" must be investigated (comparative study). It must be demonstrated if the "cause" is effective on the "result" or not and if the measured change in the results in within the reliability range or in the refusal range. Therefore, there are two ways for generalization: 1. Reliability rane estimation, 2. Hypothesis tests related to refusal area (significance tests). Statistics is a science about reviewing data, setting up of exerperiments and observation principles, investigation of significance of example results, interpretation and generalization methods. But statistics is a necessity born of scientific insufficiency. The aim of this review was to inform on basic biostatistical concepts.
