Chronic spinal pain is a very common and complicated clinical picture in which a therapeutic approach could not have been shown to be superior to the other in long term. When a pain generator could be identified, interventional treatment methods may be a therapeutic choice. Spinal interventions may be efficient both diagnostically and therapeutically in carefully selected patients. When spinal interventions are applied to a correctly chosen patient as a part of a rehabilitation program, they can accelerate recovery, increase function and decrease analgesic use.
